About the beach
Frontera · El Hierro
Arenas Blancas is a unique feature on El Hierro’s west coast: patches of light-colored sand appear amidst the rocks, contrasting with the island's volcanic landscape. Located in the municipality of Frontera, it should not be confused with other places sharing the same name. It is primarily a scenic stop for observing the coastline and its geological features. The sea can be rough and the rocky shore requires caution; this is not a bay set up for easy swimming.
Beach features
