Bajamar stretches out beneath the Risco de la Concepción in Breña Alta, featuring a long black-sand beach close to the capital. The nearby rock face and harbor give the landscape a distinctive scale. Facing the island's eastern side, it is an appealing spot, especially in the early morning. It makes for a convenient stop for those traveling between Santa Cruz and the southeast coast who aren't necessarily looking for a secluded cove.
