About the beach
Santa Cruz de Tenerife · Tenerife
At Playa de Almáciga, the road reaches almost to the volcanic sand, while the small village clings to the hillside behind. This is one of the spots where the Anaga landscape meets the Atlantic most directly: steep terrain, dark rocks, and waves popular with surfers. Easy access, however, does not mean easy swimming. It is worth stopping here just to watch the surfers and the scenery, even without going into the water.
