Playa de la Arena (Mesa del Mar) is situated beneath the steep slopes of Tacoronte on the northern coast. Its black sand and proximity to the village's seawater pools offer two different ways to experience this coastline. Access requires a descent along a steep, winding road—a detail to keep in mind when planning your visit. Do not confuse it with the beach of the same name in Puerto de Santiago, on the west coast.
