About the beach
Yaiza · Lanzarote
El Papagayo is a small, shell-shaped bay nestled within the Los Ajaches hills, featuring light sand and water that takes on green hues on calm days. While the name also refers to the entire group of beaches, this specific cove is the most intimate and distinctive. The rocks along the edges invite you to observe the seabed when conditions allow. The bay's shape is best appreciated from above; space on the sand itself is limited.
