Wingfoiling in Lanzarote: wind, depth and choosing a spot

Costa Teguise: a place name is not permission
The tourism portal documents Las Cucharas for windsurfing. That does not establish permission for wingfoiling in every sector. Before choosing Las Cucharas or Los Charcos, verify the access, corridors and discipline with the operator or local authority. This guide is not a list of authorised wingfoil areas.
Depth and tide before the knot reading
A foil requires assessing depth throughout launching, riding and returning, not just at the water's edge. Check tide, obstacles and space to return off foil. Then compare average wind, gusts and direction with your equipment and ability; there is no single wind threshold for everyone.
Famara: swell remains a separate factor
Attractive wind on an open coast is not enough to recommend a foil session. Waves and currents may make entering and returning harder than riding. Beginners should select an allowed sector and suitable window with a school; resolve any access rules marked for verification before organising the session.
