Guacimeta runs alongside the airport; low-flying planes are part of the experience, along with the pale sand and the coastal promenade leading to Playa Honda. It is a beach suited to those who enjoy walking or pausing to watch takeoffs and landings. Be prepared for noise and exposure to the wind. Its open character sets it apart from the small, sheltered bays of Puerto del Carmen.
